Westpac Helicopters W1 and W2 assist in Pollok on the weekend

On Sunday 4 March, W2 crew were tasked to Pollok on the Awhitu Peninsula (pictured) at 12.50pm to assist a boy involved in a head-on collosion where one vehicle carrying five passengers collided with another vehicle. The boy suffered multiple injuries and was flown to Starship Hospital in a serious condition. At 1.02pm W1 Whitianga crew were tasked to assist with the previous mission. This crew assisted a female patient in her 50s who had suffered a head injury.
She was flown to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition.
