Welcome to the Summer Holiday Edition issue of the Post Newspaper

By the time you are reading this, we all hope to be in a food coma from a massive Christmas feast and wistfully lounging by a pool or at the beach, celebrating summer and Christmas the traditional kiwi way.
What an incredibly year 2015 was. Even though I joined over half way through the year, I can see just how busy the team has been by reviewing our past papers – it is safe to say that they all have earned a well deserved break.
A massive thank you is needed to our Franklin Community and our amazing local contributors. Without you all, we wouldn’t be able to cover events and human interest stories, so thank you for allowing us to your first point of call for submitting your stories. Another thank you is needed for our loyal advertisers, again, without you, printing this newspaper just wouldn’t be possible.
Every single one of you has a huge part to play in making our newspaper what it is today, and we are proud to bring you the best community newspaper that we can be.
Here at the Post, we are incredibly excited for 2016.
While we will continue to create and maintain relationships within our community, we still want to hear from you, so please drop us a line. I cannot reiterate enough that, to you it may not be news, but for us it could be our lead story.
We hope you enjoy our Summer Holiday Edition, which is chock full of stories and news bites of destinations and activities to do in our community and wider districts.
We hope you all have had a lovely and well deserved Christmas break, and are looking forward to seeing all our readers in the New Year.
Be safe, and remember, the team will be back on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, refreshed and ready to serve our community with another year of fabulous newspapers, full with local content.
