UNITE takes to Pukekohe Croquet Club

The Upper North Island Teams Event (UNITE) is being hosted by Counties Manukau Croquet Association and will be held at the Pukekohe Croquet Club.

Counties Manukau host the golf croquet event once every six years, which will be held over Auckland Anniversary Weekend.
The Counties Manukau Croquet Association has four member clubs: Howick, Manurewa, Papakura and Pukekohe and the UNITE team includes players from each.
Golf Croquet is similar to Croquet like 20/20 is to Cricket and is a fast paced, exciting and strategic game with all players involved on the lawn during the game.
Six teams of six players will be taking part in the event representing Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Counties Manukau, Northland, Thames Valley and Waikato King Country.
Each team has two players from three different handicap levels and each handicap level plays singles, doubles and reverse singles in a round robin draw. Games have no time limit at this event and points are scored by being the first side to put one of their balls through the next hoop in sequence, as only the first ball through a hoop scores.
The first Team to score seven hoops wins the game.
It has been said that there will be great croqueting talent on show and everyone is welcome to attend and support the Counties Manukau Croquet Team.
