Police were made aware at 5:40am today, Saturday 21 April 2018 that a property on the corner of Kitchener and Rowles Roads had windows smashed and furniture inside had been set alight. Emergency services were first called to the scene after reports of an explosion.
Police have attended the scene and are now working to determine what happened and any possible link to the damage to other properties, as Police were later called to another house on fire at 9:35am in a new housing development in Hemopo Street.
The police unit managed to put most of fire out using the extinguisher from their car. A scene guard is in place so police can work with a fire investigator to determine cause.
