Two callouts for Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter over New Year period

On Monday, 1 January 2018 at 12.59pm, W2 Crew were retasked from Te Kopuru to Waiau Pa to assist a male patient in his 70’s suffering a medical complaint. He was flown to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition.

At 6:28pm on Monday, 1 January 2018, W2 crew tasked to Glenbrook to assist a male patient in his 40’s who had fallen approximately five metres. W2 were stood down enroute and returned to base.
