Police dogs visit Glenbrook School

On Friday 24 November, Glenbrook School received a special visit from Hamilton Police. Constable Brown and Sergeant Sanford brought their police dogs to visit the children of Glenbrook School after student, Alexandra Stuart-Burton won a police dog competition last school holidays.

The children were treated to some police dog tricks and learned about the training and costs associated with training a police dog. They were impressed with the speed of the dogs, their ability to listen to the adults and how lovely they were. All the children were able to get up close and personal.

Principal Lysandra Stuart said it was wonderful Police were able to engage and connect with the children at this level. “We are very grateful for Constable Brown and Sergeant Sandford travelling this far to share a visit with us, even though we are not part of Hamilton schools.”
