Police attend serious crash in Tuakau

Police are in attendance at an incident in Tuakau where a person has been hit by a vehicle on Alexandra Redoubt Rd.

The incident was reported shortly after 12.30pm on Thursday 14 December 2017.

At this initial stage it appears that a rubbish collection worker has fallen from a rubbish truck and has died after being run over.

A cordon is in place at the intersection of Alexandra Redoubt Rd and Roberts Rd.

The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance and WorkSafe NZ has been notified.
