A small plane flying over Pukekohe was forced to land at Pukekohe Park Raceway on Sunday 18 June.
Emergency services were called to the raceway just before 6pm where the plane landed on an old grass airstrip.
Two people exited the plane unharmed.
A Police spokeswoman says the plan made a precautionary landing at the racecourse due to fuel issues.
“Two people got out uninjured and the landing was fine. The aircraft will be checked by an engineer,” she says.
The incident was referred to the Civil Aviation Authority.
