Hull Family Reunion

Easter 2016 will see descendents of John and Isabella Hull gather at Park Farm in Waiuku for a colossal reunion to mark 160 years since the family settled in Waiuku.
John Hull arrived in New Zealand in 1854 aboard the vessel “Gipsy” that had sailed from Gravesend, England. He was a trained chemist who turned his hand to farming, and in 1856 purchased the crown grant for a 147 acre property on Hull Road, that became known as Park Farm. Park Farm is still proudly in family ownership, and is the home of Brian and Mary Hull, who are excited to welcome extended family to enjoy the farm and gardens as the venue for the Hull Family reunion over the weekend of 26 and 27 March, 2016.
The reunion organising committee have been meeting regularly over the past 12 months to plan the reunion programme, and to contact descendents of John and Isabella Hull’s children Amelia, Abraham, Arthur, George, Robert, Fredric and Jessica.
“We have discovered some fantastic family treasures and intriguing information about John Hull’s early days in the district, and times developing the farm, that we will be able to share at the reunion,” says Dorothy, Chairperson of the reunion organising committee.
Registration forms are currently being circulated to everyone on their current contact list. “We would love to have as many of our family and especially the younger generations to come along to this once in a lifetime opportunity,” says Margaret James.
