CrossFit Pukekohe takes out first place

CrossFit Pukekohe is also on the rise, with local athletes training hard and competing frequently with increasing success.

Most recently the CrossFit Pukekohe masters’ team (Michelle Lynch, Linda Begg, Reuben Wait, Mike Speck) took out first place in the “HPU Playoffs”.
From Friday night through to Saturday afternoon 144 athletes competed, with teams who made it through to the finals completing a total of 7 grueling workouts. CrossFit is designed to test fitness in as broad a range as possible and the events ranged from swimming, rowing and running through to strongman, olympic lifting and gymnastic components.
Participating in both individual and team events throughout 2015, CrossFit Pukekohe has had many proud moments in competition, including: Amy Currie: 2x 2nd place RX, Tim Simons and Logan Moffat: 3rd place Intermediate, Michelle Lynch and Linda Begg: 3rd place Intermediate, Kylie Laxton-Blinkhorn: 1st place beginner Minors, David Shortland: 2nd place beginner Majors, Pravin Hari: 3rd place beginner Rookies.
In 2016, for the third time CrossFit Pukekohe will be hosting the annual event: “South Auckland HOT WODs,” with between 80 to 120 CrossFit athletes converging in Pukekohe to compete in camaraderie on January 23. CrossFit Pukekohe also runs an increasingly popular Kids & Teens program designed to vault performance in other sports & focusing on the fun, variety and achievement of CrossFit training.
