Aggravated robbery at Caltex Bombay

Counties Manukau Police are investigating an aggravated robbery which occurred at Caltex in Bombay early this morning, Wednesday 23 August.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karen Bright of Counties Manukau Police said the incident occurred at approximately 3am.

“Two males smashed their way into the store and uplifted a large amount of cigarettes and two tills. They arrived and left in a silver hatchback vehicle,” she said.

The sole service attendant was unharmed in the incident.

“Police have today carried out a scene examination and are in the process of reviewing CCTV footage,” she said.

“We still have a number of enquiries to make and are unable to comment on specific details at this early stage of our investigation.”

Police ask that anyone with information regarding the incident contact the Counties Manukau Major Crime Team on 09 261 1300. Alternatively,  information can be provided anonymously on 0800 555 111.
