W2 Crew were tasked to Awhitu at 2.45pm on Monday 23 October 2017 to assist a male patient in his teens who was involved in a motor vehicle accident. He lost control of his vehicle and went down a bank, crashing into trees and suffering head injuries. He was flown to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition.
