At 12.50pm on Wednesday 19 April 2017, W1 crew were tasked to Port Waikato to assist a female patient in her 40s who had been thrown from her horse in a remote area and suffered back and shoulder injuries. The patient was stretcher winched out and was transported to Middlemore Hospital in a moderate condition.
