Local band in Rockquest Regional Final
Following on from their success last year, a young local band are taking on the best in the
Smokefree Rockquest Manukau Regional Finals.
Mind Over Matter, who is made up of young lads from Clarks Beach and Waiau Pa, had been asked to return at the judges discretion after taking out the People's Choice award for the region last year.
The Rosehill College students have

been working hard on new material and are aiming for better results this year. The band was originally formed by Nathan Kruse, Cameron Cowper and Jack Letcher three years ago, who are all former Waiau Pa School students. Jack Taumata has since joined the lads, and the band has a solid repertoire of popular music from the 60s to current hits. They also have a number of their own originals songs, and have been enjoying performing at gigs in local entertainment areas.

The Smokefree Rockquest Manukau Regional Final is being held on 16 June at Auckland Girls Grammar School, and the community can support the lads again by voting for them in the People's Choice category.
To vote, text mindovermatter to 5678. Text message votes do cost 20 cents. To follow their success, visit www.facebook.com/Mindovermatterofficialpage
