Quick thinking actions catch crooks
Thanks to the quick response from a resident, stolen property was located and two people are being spoken to with regards to a burglary.
Around 2pm on Thursday 6 April, a burglary took place in Waiuku.
A resident noted down a registration plate of a vehicle they thought was acting suspicious and called local Police straight away.
Early this morning, Waiuku police executed a search warrant at a local address, and were able to locate the stolen property. Two people are now being spoken to by Police with regards to the burglary.
“Because this member of the community contacted Police immediately, it enable us to follow up and act on the information straight away,” says Sergeant Graeme Wood.
