The rain has been falling and once again causing flooding in Franklin.
Franklin Rd was impassable, Stadium Drive was and many areas in Pukekohe and Patumahoe had streams on the road. Bledisloe Park became a lake and some cheeky rain lovers had a paddle.
Commuters may also be in for an unlucky surprise when they get home as some cars were partly submerged.
The weather is a timely reminder for people to take care on the roads by driving to the conditions, slowing down, and turning on headlights.
MetService issued a severe weather watch for Auckland and Waikato, saying localised heavy falls were expected, with thunderstorms to form in the afternoon. They say rain should ease in the evening.
They also advise people to stay up to date with the latest weather forecasts.
