The Hon. Amy Adams visited Franklin last week, in particularly the Waiuku area.
Hosted by MP for Hunua, Andrew Bayly, Hon. Ms Adams attended a breakfast at 7.30am in Pukekohe on Friday 24 March, before travelling to a Tony and Marlene Walters’ farm in Aka Aka.
Hon. Ms Adams was shown the importance of how technology, particularly broadband, has been incorporated into every day farming practices.
“This has allowed the farmers to check operations remotely, to the extent of opening a gate without even having to get out of a vehicle,” says Andrew Bayly.
Hon. Ms Adams went on to attend a morning tea at St Andrew’s Church, where a range of questions were asked about social housing investments and how the Government can improve social outcomes.
