Waiuku, Ramarama, Maraetai and Pukekohe Dojos came together on Wednesday 15 March for their annual kick-a-thon fundraiser. Held at the Waiuku Primary School Hall, the annual kick-a-thon helps to raise funds for training events outside of New Zealand.
Each participant, young or old, white belt to black, were required to do 1000 kicks. With a quick warm up, they were straight into it, and everyone successfully completed their 1000 kicks.
The audience was then treated to some team kartas and to finish the evening off, Sensei Ray demonstrated how the move from the karta could be used as self defense. More photos can be found on the Post Newspapers Facebook page – www.facebook.com/districtpost
