Fun all round at Children’s day
Georgia Mcauley- Franklin Youth Advisory Board.

On Sunday 5 March, the Franklin Youth Advisory Board held their seventh annual Children's Day event at Samuel Miller Reserve in Pukekohe. Throughout the duration of the day, around 500 children and families joinedt to celebrate the role children play in their lives.
With various food options, competitions and prizes, and the infamous waterslide, it was a day to enjoy.
Under the scorching sun, the waterslide was the crowd favourite and the members of the Franklin Youth Advisory Board (FYAB) didn't mind joining in on the fun.
This annual event was another shining success, with great feedback from many happy families.
The FYAB enjoy being able to celebrate children's day.
However the work from the FYAB doesn't stop there—up next on the FYAB agenda is Youth Week on 26 May to 4 June 2017.
Georgia Mcauley says, "Youth Week is an awesome opportunity to unite the young people of Franklin, to show them that their voices deserve to be heard, and to celebrate their success through their shining talents."
