Waiuku Colony Cat Rescue would like to say a massive thank you to Otaua School for holding a mufti day for them.
"They raised an awesome $201 which is an amazing effort. It will be paid towards the ever increasing vet bill, at this time of year the number of kittens in our care increases almost daily and as a result so to does our vet bill. Our kitty cats wish all the students of Otaua School a purrrrrfect Christmas," says Zoe Thomson.
Foster homes are desperately needed at Waiuku Cat Colony Rescue. With a constant stream of incoming kittens, WCCR headquarters is bursting at the seams.
"We are in desperate need of foster homes. We provide everything, you just need to invest some time and love. You may not change the world but you will change the world for one (or more) little kitten," says Zoe.
With kitten season well underway, they are also in desperate need for donations of either wet or dry cat food.
"We currently have 50 cats and kittens in our care as well as our 40 colony cats that need their tummies filled. Our kitty's would be extremely grateful for any donations. They can be dropped off at Franklin Vets in Waiuku or RD1 in Waiuku. If you prefer to make a monetary donation so we can buy food our bank account is Waiuku Colony Cat Rescue 06-0477-0147595-00," says Zoe.
