The CCTV Camera upgrade in the Waiuku Town Centre has become one step closer to a reality thanks to a generous donation.
The St Andrews Opportunity Shop donated $10,000 to the Waiuku Business and Development Association to the cause last Friday, as a way of giving back and saying thank you to the community for their continued support.
The Waiuku Business and Development Association would like to extend a huge vote of thanks to The St Andrews Waiuku and Districts Combined Churches Op Shop for the amazing contribution of $10,000 to the new CCTV camera system for the Waiuku township.
“The WB&DA see this as a huge but vital investment for the Waiuku community and with this generous donation, will be able to complete the rollout a lot sooner.  The Op Shop saw this as a project that supported the whole community through community safety and wanted to donate this money to thank them for the amazing support they have given the Opportunity Shop over the years.”
Sharlene Druvyen said that much investigation has gone into suitable system that will deliver clear and credible visuals, support our Police and supply footage that can be used as evidence in a court of law if required. The footage from the CCTV cameras can be obtained through the local Police.
Manager, Sharron Levestone, St Andrews Opportunity Shop is pleased to be able to support the upgrade of the CCTV camera system as a tangible way of giving something back to the community.
“Because of the generous gifting from the Waiuku community the Op Shop has been able to make this donation over and above our regular support of around twenty-five organizations per year.”
